Fees
You may expect to pay between 70-90% of the fees charged by the large franchises. Free electronic filing! I file all Federal and virtually all state returns electronically at no extra charge.
My fees start at $45 for preparing both the Federal and the State of Michigan returns. This would be for a basic return (short form without Schedule A) consisting of three W2s or less. More complex returns (with Schedule A, B, C, D, E or F) would start at $75. I hesitate to provide a quote without a scheduled meeting. I may be able to give you a ball park figure, but I really need to see your documents, etc. to understand your preparation needs.
